Irish Champion Hurdle Betting 2012
The Irish Champion Hurdle is often the last key trial for the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival which makes it a vital race for punters. It is of course a big race in its own right but most trainers will use the race at Leopardstown to get their horses right for the main event at Cheltenham in March. Some legendary horse have won this race over the years with Istabraq the most famous name to have won the race in recent years, the Aiden O'Brien horse won the race on less than four occasions.
The betting for this year's race is headed by last year's winner Hurricane Fly who will be making his seasonal debut at Leopardstown as he gets ready to defend his Champion Hurdle title at Cheltenham. Other potential runners in the race include Binocular who of course won the 2010 Champion Hurdle and the exciting Spirit Son who is another one who could make his season debut for Nicky Henderson.
